    well, now I know why there is a 90 day warranty on my controllers...they break about then. I am a 56 year old that plays regularly. There seems to be a design flaw with the quality of the controllers in the bumper area. Could you tell me who I need to get
    in touch with at Xbox to see about getting these fixed. I own 4 Xbox Ones and they have all had this issue, tired of buying new controllers. I am looking at 3 right now under my Xbox that are broken. Is therE a better controller out there? From what I've seen
    online the elite has same issue. Thanks in advance.

    For people having issues using the Xbox One bumpers.

    The issue is not really the size of the bumpers but rather that only one part of the bumper is easily forced down.

    Uncomfortable pad?

    Not had any issues like the OP.
    Never had an issue on 360 or now the Xbox One.
    Only Controller I had issues with was the DS3.

    I much prefered the 360 pad over the X1 but after using it more and more going back to the 360 pad just feels weird. The X1 controller is excellent once you get used to it and the new bumpers and triggers.

    I have three X Box One controllers and have yet to have a problem; one has over 3,000 hours on it. You could try talking to support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

    XBox Elite controller bumper issues

    The bumpers on my launch day Series 1 Elite Controller finally broke a few months ago. Was disappointed that an otherwise perfectly functioning controller (never had the grip issue with mine) was rendered useless because of the poor design of the bumpers.
    All the development that went into the Elite and no effort was made to improve this inherent weakness in all Xbox One controllers. I repaired it myself with a replacement bumper from ebay. Never had bumper issues with any of my 360 controllers.

    Unfortunately is a design limitation. The bumpers don't have a "spring", they are a single solid plastic piece that has a narrow bridge that acts as a spring and the material wears out after extended use. When they break you can go online and buy repair
    kits for only $7 or so to fix them.

    But I totally hear you and feel your pain, as I had to do this repair myself on the Xbox Elite controller.
