    I installed update and played Ryse for a while and it made a weird noise and shut right off. Now I press the power button and it sounds like its on for a couple seconds and shuts off! How do I fix it?

    question about a broken xbox

    Good morning,

    A few weeks ago my xbox one broke. Something with the power supply inside the the xbox was broke. Since it was out of warranty I decided to buy a new one.

    The only problem is that when my xbox broke it was on with a game inside. Since the xbox will not power on now, how do I get the game out? I know I could smash it open, but I don't want to damage the disc. Anyone have any ideas how to get it out?

    Hey there superskillz87!

    I would recommend try this steps if you haven't already

    support.xbox.com/.../console-turns-off-unexpectedly

    if the power supply seems fine and the console is still doing it, we might need to see if we can try a reset to factory defaults. Although, if the console is turning off after a couple of seconds we may need to look at setting up a same unit repair or an
    advanced exchange. I would recommend going to myservice.xbox.com to register your device just in case. Your best bet would be to call 1-800-469-9269 and speak to a hardware agent

    Try unplugging it for a couple minutes and plugging it back in. See if that helps the power problem

    XBox One S - System Update Bricked my Console

    Right but if it broke while playing a game one would say the game broke the Xbox. The code is a general hard drive failure regardless.

    Started with Xbox 360 S in 2012 then it broke so I got an Original. That one broke so I bought the final model E. Than I got a One S.

    Try unplugging it for a couple minutes and plugging it back in. See if that helps the power problem
