    Xbox one brodcasting it's own wifi?


    When ever my xbox one is plugged up/ turned on it broadcasts a wifi connection named "DIRECT-wVXbox-SystemOSmsCM".

    i"ve had my xbox one for a couple of years and this just started a few days ago. Is there any way that i could remove this?

    i saw this also...maybe this is how we must connect to our xbox online chat and gaming now....microsoft should send out detailed information and warning/alerts concerning the effects of their upgrades....would be less headaches. try going online chat/multiplayer
    using the Direct......and let us know if it works and i will do the same then repost my findings as well. thanks

    Hello, I was watching Netflix and I noticed that my phone was connected to my Xbox One. I wanted to get rid of it so I went to my phone's wifi menu to change to my wifi extender. I noticed that there was a connection named after my xbox name. It went along
    the lines of:

    DIRECT-jUxboxonenamePIT6

    Any clue if this was a neighbor's wifi with the same name as my xbox or if this is something else?

    I also started to notice that, since my last XBOX ONE update from this morning (17/06/2017).

    Is this for Wifi-direct capabilities ? where we can setup this ? (ex: password ?).

    zyxel P-660HW-T1v3 conection problem

    the 4 GB console has a 2.4 GHZ wifi adapter in it some routers only brodcast in 5 GHZ and the xbox cant reed that range-

    check the band on the router
