    Hello everyone, last night my Xbox one had an update around 4 am. I let the console update and it was at the applying update stage, I noticed that the screen turned off (guessing was from a restart) but what was weird is my Xbox was
    on but the screen was black so i thought it had frozen and with my ignorance I turned it off and back on. The Xbox turned on but the screen was black, after about a minute screen pops up at the applying update screen showing 50%, so I was thinking it was fine..
    I was wrong... After about 5 mins or so says something went wrong, showing a screen with restart Xbox or troubleshoot, with an E100 error at the bottom. I tried doing a power cycle and still same thing happened. I went online looking for answers, found out
    about the diagnostic tool so I downloaded and plugged in my USB into the Xbox. Hit the offline update and it goes to 1% and then it just says something went wrong. So I troubleshoot again and just decided I was going to factory reset, well even that didn't
    work. It still pops up the applying update screen, so I've been trying to power cycle it over and over like most people have said. nothing at this point seems to work it's like stuck at the applying update screen no matter what I do. So I guess my Xbox one
    is basically bricked? Don't have the extra many to send it in for repairs (no warranty).

    If it's an Xbox One S or X you should be okay if it's one of the original Xbox One consoles that has the power brick then you will need to obtain a new power brick.

    My Xbox wont start

    Yellow light on the power brick tends to mean a bad power brick.

    You can try unplugging it completely for at least 30 seconds to reset it and plugging it back in. If it stays yellow its a bad power brick.

    Do you either have another brick from an Xbox One or a friend willing to loan you one to make sure its just the brick?

    If it is an Xbox One S or X then it should work as these support multi voltages. If it is the original Xbox One that has a separate power brick then you will purchase a replacement power brick.
