    At a loss of what to do.

    My Xbox One S has been freezing up and lagging lately, and taking longer and longer to boot up. Like 10 mins to start up.

    I have tried unplugging, hard resetting, factory reset, I was told by support to do an offline update and even that has failed.

    I've gotten errors E101, E102. E105 and E106 during this long 3 day process. I tried to do a factory reset and it gets half way through and goes to a Something Went Wrong Screen, same with the offline update. I at one point got it to the chose language and
    then country and can't get past that.

    Friend that works at a tech fix place says my hard drive is likely going, and if he puts in a new one it wont matter because I won't have the operating software from Microsoft. Yet it seems that if I try to send it in to get fixed or replaced with a refurbished
    one according to what I have found on the website it looks like it will be a month long process..and the local store is closed. So I guess I'm stuck with a brick? I don't want to buy new since the one I have is only 1.5 years old... I have an old 360 that
    is over 7 years old and still works... and even if I do suck it up and buy a new one I'm still stuck with a brick

    If it's an Xbox One S or X you should be okay if it's one of the original Xbox One consoles that has the power brick then you will need to obtain a new power brick.

    Yellow light on the power brick tends to mean a bad power brick.

    You can try unplugging it completely for at least 30 seconds to reset it and plugging it back in. If it stays yellow its a bad power brick.

    Do you either have another brick from an Xbox One or a friend willing to loan you one to make sure its just the brick?

    If it is an Xbox One S or X then it should work as these support multi voltages. If it is the original Xbox One that has a separate power brick then you will purchase a replacement power brick.
