    Hi all,

    I think this latest preview update has ruined my console. I can't be sure though. My partner was playing Ark a few hours ago and complained that the system was behaving sluggishly, so she powered it down then turned it back on. It wasn't any better, so she
    shut it down completely, including at the wall and waited a while. After she turned it back on it went to the green start screen as it does, but then the dashboard wouldn't load. It just went to a blank screen. Notifications would still pop up, such as the
    external hard drive being ready, but the home screen was just blank. Pressing buttons to navigate around didn't produce any sound. Holding the guide button down did bring up the shut down / turn off controller screen.

    I've been reading online for the last few hours and others who have had similar issues in the past seem to indicate it is the result of a failed update corrupting the OS files. The timing does seem to coincide with the release of the latest preview update.
    So it could well be the case, but I've never had any problems with preview updates in the past.

    I've tried hard resetting the console, to no avail. I've also disconnected everything from the console. I've followed the instructions of the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool. I've tried with OSUDT2 and OSUDT3 as I've read people recommend both in this
    situation. But in both instances it starts the process then comes up with the error E101 00000504 8B050041. I've tried with a few different USB drives with the same result.

    My warranty expired on FEBRUARY 18TH, so it's really frustrating that this is happening right now. I've checked with MS and it'll be AU$155 to send it in to get repaired/replaced. Plus about three weeks for that to happen. A new console around here is about
    AU$480. But I can't really afford either option.

    Does anyone have any suggestions I haven't tried? Is there a different tool or file I need to download instead of the OSUDT because I'm in the preview program? Please help!

    my xbox one boots fine but only has a world globe with 24 on it and a white outline of the app launch box otherwise black screen. i've tried rebooting 4-5 times suggestions on what to do or what is happening ?

    My xbox one is also going to the green screen then goes to a blank black screen.... I'm thinking they botched this new update.... I've tried doing the update restore through the diagnostic tool, but I cant get the xbox to recognize I'm holding the bind and
    eject when powering on, it just doesn't start to boot until I release them. then stuck at screen again.

    Maybe they didn't have the latest updated OSUDT2 system files online. Then again, trying the factory restore file wasn't working either.....

    Known issue. MS is working on a patch. Only solution is to "cold boot" the machine by holding the power button for 5 seconds until it powers down, then boot it back up.
