    Xbox One Booting Issue

Hi all. I have a issue with my xbox one that started 1-2 weeks ago. 1) When I turn on my xbox, it boots fine, but when I click on a app or game, they lock up on their splash screen. I can get out of the games and apps when I press the guide button on
my controller. When I click on another game or app, it locks up again. When I shut down the xbox using the controller, my TV is turns black and the white light on the console flashes forever. I did a hard shut down by pressing the button on my xbox for
10 seconds. I waited 30 seconds and turned it back on. In a nutshell, everything works fine for the most part after I did the hard shutdown. I own most of my games on disc. There are times when I launch a game and it splashes back to the home screen 3
times until the games finally load properly.

My Xbox has been working like a charm before 1-2 weeks ago. It is frustrating that I have to do a hard shut down every day to get the games and apps to load properly without having them lock up on their splash screen. I strongly feel that my xbox problems
are software related. I want to thank you for reading this lengthly post. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    :)

    Hello friend,

The only thing i can think of to do aside from doing the hard shutdown is actually resetting your xbox.

It can be a possibility that through all the updates we have received there can be some corrupted files which is why your systems games and apps are glitching. I know its going to be annoying re-downloading the games but if it saves you from constantly doing
hard shutdowns everyday which can possibly affect your system in the future. i believe its your best bet. Let me know what you decide and if it makes a difference if you choose to reset.

Why bother? I'm having the same problem and, if it is caused by files corrupted during updates, you might as well get used to using the hard reset. If the frequency with which my external drive automatically turns on is any kind of guide, then those updates
are happening many, many times a day. So, go ahead and restore factory defaults if you think several hours of reinstalling is worth several hours of glitch-free play, but I fear the same problem is going to crop up far too quickly to make a factory reset worth
the trouble. Remember when updates were small, only took a few seconds to install, and waited for your ok before doing so? Those were good days.

    Hey there Chris!

The issue could lie with Luxembourg not being a Xbox One-Supported Xbox Live Country. For a full list of Xbox One-Supported Xbox Live Countries, check out our
Xbox One Product Information support article.

That being said, there are a few things that we can try. To start off, I suggest working your way through our
Xbox One console won't power on troubleshooter and let us know how that goes for you.

We'll be standing by to hear back from you! ^_^

    Xbox One S Boot Issue

Hi there! This is Ronnie, an independent adviser.

Nice to meet you and I hope you are having a great day!

I understand you need help on your Xbox problem.

Please try doing a factory reset on the console and see if this will help.

    - Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    - Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    - Wait 30 seconds.

    - Plug the power cord back in on another outlet.

    - Press and hold the BIND button (the one to SYNC controllers) and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    - Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    - Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart.

Note: If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed.

    - You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

    - The console should start and show the Troubleshooting screen

    - Choose "Reset this Xbox" and then "Keep games and apps".

If this does not help, try using a different power outlet.

If that will not work either, I would already suggest having the Xbox repaired due to a hardware failure.
