XBOX ONE BLU-RAY NOT READING GAME DISCS

Why is it that my optical drive will read video discs but not game discs (error codes 0x80820004 or 080820002).i bought a new drive and swapped the pcb over, but still the same problem.i now believe that the problem lies with the drives daughter board and
i know you can't swap that so what can be done....Any help would be appreciated

Xbox One imported from other region

Each Xbox One console is manufactured for a specific Blu-ray and DVD region, following international standards. The Xbox One console can play Blu-ray discs and DVDs that are sold in the same region as the console.

Some Blu-ray discs and DVDs are not region-encoded or are coded to all regions. Region-free Blu-ray discs and DVDs will play on any Xbox One console.

DVD and Blu ray disc stopped issue

Hi guys.

My Xbox One plays games, both disc ans downloaded one, perfectly

and all the apps work perfectly as well, but whenever

I put a DVD or a Blu Ray disc, I get a "Disc Stopped" message.

Is the problem with my console or the Blu ray app ?

And what is the solution with this problem ?

Thanks for your update. If your Disc Games are still not launching, try clearing your Xbox One's Blu-ray Persistent Storage. To do so, visit your Xbox One's
Settings and select Disc & Blu-ray after, choose
Blu-Ray and then select Persistent Storage and choose the option
"Clear persistent storage".

XBOX 360 - DVD (there were 3 or 4 games that actually came on CD)

Xbox one games use blu ray. Xbox 360 don't. I can play Xbox one games no problem but no Xbox 360 games. I've tried everything.

Hi,

All Xbox One games are region free. DVD's and Blu-ray discs are still subject to regional restrictions. Which means unless a particular DVD or Blu-ray disc is region free (0/All), it won't play on your console. UHD Blu-ray discs are all region free.
