Xbox One blowing fuses

    Xbox One blowing fuses


    Hi,

    My Xbox one keeps blowing fuse in plug. What can I do to solve this? Do I need new power lead - am afraid it will destroy console. thanks

    @Elitesniper- the graphics in the Beta were mind blowing? Your mind must have a short fuse.

    Soooo after a week of not using the kinect...

    The fuse will trip not blow. You unplug the whole PSU and wait 10 seconds and the fuse will automatically reset. Its just that on the off chance it does blow, you'll need to replace it. However, its not going to blow anytime there's a surge.

    Try a different wall outlet.

    See if that solves the problem.

    Make sure you are also using the correct fuse. If you are in the UK, the Xbox One uses a 10 amp fuse, and the Xbox One S uses a 5 amp fuse.

    which version of the xbox one is it. may have to be sent for repair as i would not attempt to use if blowing fuses.

    13a fuse, is that the main cable for the xbox or an extension lead, if the main cable for the xbox this should only have a 5a fuse.

    if it is an extension lead then replace the extension lead, but damage to the xbox may have accurred due to fuse blowing multiple times.

    if it's popping a fuse, stop plugging it in because you're looking at a potential fire. You should get a plug tester from the hardware store and use it on the outlet, or better yet call a licensed electrician

    Cheaper to buy another console than call an electrician? Plug sockets are all working fine. There is no risk of a fire if the fuse blows in the plug it cuts all the power to the console, not that I have it plugged in now!!
