Xbox One blocking Internet for adults

So you're trying to set Screen Time for yourself? I honestly don't think that is currently an option for adult accounts. I would presume that the reason for that is adults, well, are adults and can exert self-control. I know that may sound bad, and I understand
your reasoning. It's like how some people freeze credit cards in a block of ice so they don't use them on a whim ... sometimes you have to get creative with how you go about setting limits for yourself. One option may be an outside device, like Circle, which
can block all Internet devices, not just your Xbox.

the adult settings block all that, if he might be lying to you to remove the adult setting.

A home network sharing the same internet connection. That why they called it a home network. This computer, My WP8,My care give smartphone, Her laptop, her adult child smartphone, Her adult child boyfriend table, My XBOX 360 and her adult child boyfriend
360 are sharing the same connection. But it easy to say. Yes they are sharing internet.

Do you have an Xbox Live Gold membership? Also, is your account an adult account, as it may be parental controls blocking your access?

I always thought that MS marketed the Xbox to adult gamers and considering that alcohol ad's run 24 hours a day on T.V and radio, they definitely should not remove the ads from Xbox live. No need to censor live for the sake of the kids that are playing
Adult games.

Parental settings + Child Accounts = A better Xbox Live........Now just give me an Adult Communication channel and the ability to block kid accounts. I demand that the person cursing me out have an adult voice.
