XBOX ONE blocked / banned from XBOX Live

I have the following message on the XBOX ONE that my that 10 years old son uses.

As I am in France, message is of course in French :

This situation seems very strange to me as my son did not use the console on 01st August 2017 at 01:48 am.

Anyway, it has not used it since 31st July 2017.

In addition, he only has one FIFA 16 game and he tells me to only play with and not to interact with others.

Could you please tell me more and solutions to this situation ?

I don't understand how a game would make a console "blocked"

Not quite sure what you mean by "blocked", do you mean blocked from XBL?

If so, your console will have been banned from Xbox Live.

Console bans are not eligible for case review as they are reserved for the worst/repeated violations of the code of conduct.

That is the problem: "...the worst/repeated violations of the code of conduct..." !!!

I remind you that the only one at home to use this console is my 10 years old son and I can't imagine him doing such actions ! (and I talked to him for a long time about his use of the console)

I have never previously received any messages mentioning any questionable use !

I just want to know a simple thing: that Microsoft explains to me the reasons that led to this ban ? I am sure that if they investigate, they will conclude that my son is not responsible.

But unfortunately as I cannot fill in a Case Review I do not know how to get in touch with a decision maker !

Is there someone to help me ?

I believe the date and time refer to when the ban started not the time of the offense. But it take the enforcement time 1 to several days to investigate an issue.

part of the case review process you will be tested on the code of conduct which you can also find at the same link.

Might also review the code of conduct with you son so he know what the rules are by microsoft to be able to use their service.

Unfortunately I cannot fill in a case review as I cannot select « Apply to the exam » ! The column « Case Review Status » to the right of Enforcement Detail is empty.

An Xbox Live device ban permanently blocks an Xbox console or device from accessing the Xbox Live service. The device ban is applied to the Xbox console or device, not to a specific Xbox profile (account). This means that no one can use the console or device to connect to Xbox live.

It could remove the banned by Factory Reset because if it was Modafied and abused it is pernment banned. If it just console banned Factory reset should work.

No it wouldnt. Console bans are Xbox lives servers blocking that console from accessing Xbox Live. Factory resetting the xbox wont change that.

We are fellow gamers. Ambassadors have a crest next to their name. Ambassadors are volunteer gamers that try to assist other gamers. Ambassadors do not have any access to, or ability to change another gamers account.

There are also forum Moderators to maintain the forums and some official Microsoft staff. Both of these are also identified by their different icons and titles.

For my problem (console ban) I need help from a decison maker. If I well understood your anwser there are no decision maker here ! Am I right ?

Other questions:

- Is my console ban on XBOX Live only ? Or also for others (updates...)

- If I buy a new Live subscription, will my problem be solved ?

The only people who handle enforcement is the enforcement team. The only way to reach then is by filing a case review. Console bans are not eligible for case review as they are reserved for the worst/repeated violations of the code of conduct.

If it is a full blown console ban meaning you cant sign into xbox live on any account then that affects anything that requires an Xbox live connection including game getting game updates.

No buying a new subscription wont fix your issue. Buying a new console that is not banned is your only fix.

You have already been given the answer. It may not be the answer you want to hear, but it is the answer. There is no way to contact the enforcement team regarding console bans.

Once again, I am sure that the XBOX of my 10 years old son has been banned by mistake. Then WHAT CAN I DO to regularize the situation ???

This file is open since 2 months and nobody is able to give me the reason why the console has been banned !!!

Could you please ask a decison maker to call me over the phone.

Just a question for my curiosity: who are you, all people who reply on this forum ?
