    I'm getting a blank screen (cant hear anything either) when I turn on my xbox and I dont know how to fix it. I tried turning off the console by holding the button for 10 seconds and I still had the same issue when I turned it back on. I tried unplugging
    and plugging the brick, no luck. Then I went to my HDMI cable and plugged it into different ports, still no luck. I also tried using the cable to connect my laptop to my TV. Usually, once I plug connect my laptop to the TV, the laptop's screen is displayed
    on the TV. This doesnt work either. Does that mean there's something wrong with the HDMI cable?

    The console makes all the appropriate noises during start up, but the display remains blank. The monitor doesn't behave like it's not receiving a signal, and the HDMI from the PC is working just fine. I can hear the cursor moving around the tiles, but I
    can't see what is going on.

    Pressing the xbox button on the controller changes nothing.

    Inserting a disk to play a game changes nothing. The game clearly loads, sounds and all, but the screen stays blank.

    Holding eject and bind during startup does nothing.

    Multiple cold boots have changed nothing.

    I am at a loss.

    Update:

    A friend let me try hooking the xbox up to his HDTV and it worked smoothly. Determined that the problem was that the HDMI audio extractor I had it running through had gone bad and was only transmitting sound.

    Nevermind, fixed this issue. Just had to unplug everything from the tv and xbox and plug it back in. Thanks for your help anyways guys. >.>

    Nevermind, fixed this issue. Just had to unplug everything from the tv and xbox and plug it back in. Thanks for your help anyways guys. >.>

    I received the blank screen last night and I did not get the green startup. I tried the rest and I still have blank screen on my xbox one x. The HDMI cable is good, i tested it on my switch. What can I do?

    I have already tried following those instructions, and I get to a point where it needs to show something other than a blank screen but it never does. I can't check the OS version as instructed if I can't see anything.
    The issue could be hardware related then, it's best to check in with our chat/phone team for any additional steps as well as check on the console warranty status and setup a repair if needed.
