Xbox One - Black Screen?

This happens to me as well, typically when trying to return to the home screen when clicking the controllers home button when a game is booting up or connecting to a Server like with PVZ G Warfare. I think more people will experience now that more MultiPlayer
games are coming out and people try to do more than just 1 thing at a time, like hey start a game chat with a friend. Hard reboot for me will fix it, but this needs to get fixed ASAP.

 

I haven't found actual confirmation that it was, but I think this issue may have been fixed with the March update that was released today. I was getting it pretty regularly after the last update, but it hasn't happened once in the 3 hours or so
that I've been using my console since the update. I'm intentionally using the home button frequently and I haven't gotten the black screen at all. Fingers crossed...

 

I've had this happen when hitting the home button and instead It goes blank with all the normal T.V. sounds in the back ground ,or a transition part of playing Thief and tonight trying to watch a Blu Ray movie! It plays all the previews then transitions
to the main menu,I get sound but no picture but If I hit the home button, then I can see It playing in the small screen but full screen gets me a blank screen again. I am so *** off right now I can barely be civil in writing this! Microsoft had better FIX
THIS PROBLEM ASAP !

 

Alright all of you who are still experiencing the "black screen" issue please try these steps:

1. Power Cycle your console. To do this you need to hold the power button your console for 10 seconds which will clear your system cache (No you will not lose any of your actual data) then power on you console.

2. Make sure your console is update to the most current dashboard update: "xb_rel_1403.140301-2200) fre"

If the problems persist I would report it to Xbox Support via there telephone number. I personally was experiencing this issue and has since not had it once since the console update. I hope this helps and happy gaming

 

Just had the black screen shortly after BF4/TF update. Thought it was the X1 glitch described but after some diagnostics and tests of cable and monitor when the 10 second reset didn't work. The HDMI to DVI adapter was found to be at fault. Confirmed
after replacement of adapter. Works fine now. So if the 10 second reset/boot doesn't work check your HDMI to DVI adapter for those of us that use this method to display. What caused the break is unknown although I had just finished the latest BF4/TF update
and shortly there after the screen blacked out (power safer mode) a few times and finally always off. Validated the cable with my 360. Adapter did not work on the 360 either but the new one now works on both units... So, good indication the adapter may
be smoked somehow.

 

I still met the problem when I got new xbox one in june, help

Please give the following steps a try:

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 5 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord as well as the HDMI cable.
  
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console and HDMI cable.
• Power on your console and check to see if you are still experiencing a black screen.
  

If you are still experiencing this issue after trying the suggested steps, please let us know. You can also try using a different a HDMI cable or try using the HDMI cable in a different port on your TV.

 

1 unplug wait 30 sec. and then plug back in. if that dose not work eject any disc then hold button for 5 second to turn on then hold eject then power til you here a beep this sets it in lowest resolution then fix the resolution to your tv done
