Xbox One - Black Screen?

Alright this is something that Xbox Support is aware of and there is a work around and this was listed on Xbox Supports Official Twitter Channel.

The workaround fix: Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds this will power cycle the system and the system should load up and get past the black screen issue.

Like I said Microsoft is currently aware of the issue and this was the current solution there giving for the issue. I for one am experiencing this issue ever since the new February Xbox update came to my system and such. I have the issue mostly when playing
NFS: Rivals and using this Kinect command "Xbox Go Home" and it will result in the black screen issue.

@BusGod, No Problem man. I mainly have been addressing the issues with NFS: Rivals and it was kinda funny that while dealing with the issue with that this issue came up and led me to this forum with this issue.

 

Same thing happening to me within the past week.. twice now. When is Microsoft going to fix this issue?

 

Same thing is happening to me. I'll go to check achievements in the middle of a game and the screen goes black....still have sound. Have to do a cold boot (losing my place in the game) and the picture comes back. Also happens when going to the Home screen.
Has happened five times this week. Frustrating. Starting to regret buying so early.

 

Dunno if this will work but found a thread in Live TV that has seemed to work so far for me, Go to Settings>Power & Startup>Energy Saving Mode

It disables all the wonderful things the one does but haven't had an issue since.

Will update if it changes

 

So I am happy to see that I am not the only one having blackout issues. Mine more or less does it when it can't keep up multitasking because let's say I am loading up a game and I press the xbox home button on my controller it will just freeze. As everyone
else said I have to do a full "unplug" reset for it to send an image and even when the screen is black the kinect still works. Please fix, it's quite annoying. Thanks!

 

This has happened to me as well. $499 is a lot to shell out for these types of problems.

I have a Day One Edition Xbox One as well. No REAL problems until this Update.

The only problem I had was that the Kinect didn't always respond like it was suppose to.

I hope this gets fixed like ASAP!!!

 

Yesterday I had this issue of blank screen. Nothing was coming. However, when I switched off my controller and all, a pop up "BYE Deepak" came in..

then I restarted the system and all was working fine again.

 

I don't even want to play a game for fear of the Black Screen of Death that happens when exiting a game. Come on Microsoft! Sony is kicking your butt and this glitch needs to be fixed NOW!

 

I bought xbox one for Christmas present for my kids 12 and 7. Since Christmas Day I have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. Blue ray wouldn't work , TV nope, sent it back. They had it for 2 1/2 weeks sent me different console, couldn't sign in to live. And
now black screen, I can hear it but can not see it. I have had xbox since it released in 2001 and this is by far the worst it has been

 

Had my first run in with this last night hope it doesn't become ongoing.

 

Good to see MS is aware of the issue, I'm one of the lucky people who get this almost constantly when returning to the home screen. Hard power cycle brings back the system back but this is very disappointing.

 

I have been having the same problems, If I have been playing a game or using an app, and then try and go home, the screen goes black. I can still hear the action though. Only a hard reset using eject and on seems to work. Other than ths though I have
have no problems with my day one consol. When will a proper fix be released??
