    Xbox One Black Screen


    So I went to turn my Xbox One on last night and it came up with the Xbox Logo green screen which took forever to load and then it went to a black screen. Not my TV at fault and have tried everything from the
    www.xbox.com/support for this issue have tried hard reseting and everything still has the same problem. Any help??

    Hello,

    Simple fix, just hold the power button for 10 seconds, do not take your finger off it until it turns off. The. Turn it back on and let it boot up. After that you will need to reconnect it to Internet/Ethernet. That is all that needs to be done.

    I have the same problem, and even after i hold the power button, I still have the black screen.

    Hi there are several threads regarding this issue, I posted this possible solution previously and it seems to work quite well in most cases.

    I have seen this work for a few people with the same issue you are all having. Please be aware that all your data on the xbox will be wiped so you will need to download/install your games etc again. If you have an external hard drive connected to your xbox
    one then disconnect that before proceeding. Any data on the external drive should work fine once you have downloaded your profile back onto the xbox.

    The problem seems to be some data corruption on the xbox which prevents the home screen from loading correctly, this can often be fixed by a factory restore. Now as you can't actually access the settings to do this there is a way to restore to factory defaults
    using a USB flash drive.

    If you visit the offline system diagnostic website
    HERE     and download the Restore Factory Defaults file

    Read through the process of formatting the flash drive etc and follow the instructions as if you were doing a system update but using the file you downloaded you may find that your xbox will then boot correctly.
