Xbox one black screen

Hi, I have had my xbox one since february. I´ve had no problems with it until now.

When I start the xbox, all i get is a black screen, no sound, no visuals. But the kinect and controller seems to work. And it also seems that I can not shut the xbox down completely (by holding down the power button 5 seconds), it only shuts off to standby
mode.

So what I´ve tried is, remove all the contacts, both from tv/xbox. and plugged in again after a while, didn´t work.

I have also tried to wait, to see if it passes, I have waited 2 days now.

I have tried your support on troubleshooting on this matter, didn´t work either.

I can shut the console of with the controller, so they seem to be responsive, and my tv gets the signal from xbox, but there is no visual or sound.

Update Black screen

After update xbox one will get stuck on a black screen and xbox loading screen.

Ok, can you try holding the power button on the console (when it is on) for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?

If it doesn't then try another HDMI cable input on your TV or you may need to purchase a new HDMI cable to try.

If none of those steps work for you then you may need to set your console up for a repair.

Ontop of what Onxy has said, if you have a black screen, you actually might just need to download an update via a USB or flash drive. Go to the link below and download either OSUDT2 or restore to factory defaults:

If getting a blank screen (before doing a OSUDT procedure) please try to reset the grafics settings.

This can be done by holding the eject and the start button simultaneously to start the console in 480p resolution. If this is working you may go on and reconfigure the grafic settings to your needs.

Thanks to all the replies, it all ended up with it had to go for a repair.

I did try the solution to start the xbox with 480 p resolution, but same result as before.
