Xbox One black screen while playing Minecraft

Hey,

I've been having an issue for a long time now where my Xbox One X will lose visual output completely when playing Minecraft (bedrock edition), and only when playing this game. My TV will show a black screen, and noises can still be heard from the game as
normal. When the Xbox guide is opened, I am able to navigate to the home screen without anything appearing on the screen at all, so it appears the visual output has been lost without the game or console crashing. This will occur at random times. Sometimes
I'll be able to play for hours without it happening, sometimes it will happen as soon as the game is launched.

I've tried hard resets multiple times, un-installs and re-installs, changed my display settings for my Xbox and TV, different HDMI cables, and waiting. Nothing seems to have any effect at all.

Has anyone else had this issue? I'm really at a loss here. Any advice would be great.

I have seen forum posts for people saying they experienced flickering blue or black screens in game and that changing the in game resolution helped fix it. They were using UHD Tv's and turning the resolution down to 720p in game worked.

Since I have a 4k tv, I had my Xbox's display settings set to 4k. I had a go at changing this to see waht happened. 720p output worked, and I was able to play Minecraft for a few minutes without experiencing the issue. However, I noticed that the sides of
the display were cut off. Changing to 1080p solved this issue, and I was able to play again with no issues. I changed back to 4k to test again, and had the black screen appear almost immediately.

I'm glad I can at least get the game to work now, but it is a shame that I can't play it in 4k. Oh well.

Yeah its a shame you can't use 4K atm, hopefully it's only temporary, happy to help.

It is a shame that you can't enjoy the 4k power of the X with this game.

i have the same problem while playing the screen goes black for 2 seconds and then comes normal again. It always do it when i switch on the xbox one after a while.
