    Xbox one black screen of death


    i have tried for two solid days to fix this issue, I have power cycled the console, I have reset it to the minimal graphical output possible, and it still hangs on the green screen for around 20 minutes, and then fades to nothing, it has really freaked me
    out, I'm pretty sure it's broken, but if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated!!

    XBOX One Black screen of death.

    Im dealing with the same issue ive had my xbox since the day one addition it has worked perfectly up until a month ago. Playing games and everything was fine but when i went back to the home screen it started moving really slow like a computer with to much
    on it or something. Started having sign in issues apps not wanting to work things it got really glitchy. So i cleared out the system storage the blu ray storage and reset it then it worked fine for a few days then it started doing it again. So i repeated the
    process until and it was same thing again work for a day or two then started acting up a freezing and things like that. Which led to me ultimately doing a full factory reset and that worked for a day or two and now i can get pass the xbox power on load screen.
    It stays green longer than it should and then it turns to a black screen and stays there.....will not go back to the home screen

    Have you tried a full factory reset ? It would mean installing all your games again but a small price to pay if it would work

    When you say "power cycled" , did you unplug the brick and mains plug too?

    I would try unplugging the adaptor from the power outlet for 5 minutes and then try to see if it fixes it. I have this issue with my Xbox 360 sometimes and this solution fixes it right up.

    For me, the 5 minutes of being unplugged works wonders when my console isn't working properly.
