Xbox one black screen after startup

My xbox one x boots up and displays the xbox startup screen with the microchips and the woosh sound. Then it goes to the green screen with the xbox logo and after that it just goes black.

It responds to my controller in that it says Hi in a little purple box when I turn it on (it signs me in). Other than that the Xbox doesn’t respond to any of the buttons except when I hold down the Xbox button on my controller it gives me the options
to turn console off, turn controller off or restart console.

I have already tried:

hard reset by holding down the power button

Power reset by taking out the power supply and waiting a bit before plugging it back in

Lower resolution by holding down the connect button and the Xbox button (this has worked since the little bits it does display are grainer .. so eh yah?)

Holding down right trigger and Y or both triggers and Y

Turning off the WiFi and restarting the Xbox

Using a different hdmi cable and port

I honestly don’t know what else to try.

Does someone have a solution

The power button on my Xbox started flashing when it got to the startup screen after that the screen turned black and it booted up normally

When you start the Xbox One console after rebooting, you expect to see the green Xbox startup animation screen. During the startup animation, your console runs a full system check on all hardware components, validating the firmware
and the operating system. This is very similar to the way a PC starts. The startup animation screen can take several minutes before transitioning to the next screen. If the system check fails to run the startup animation three times in a row, the console is
flagged by the system as “do not run.” This will block the startup animation from running, and in its place you'll see a black screen.

In order to determine your troubleshooting steps, after pressing the Xbox button you'll need to leave your console on this black screen for at least 10 minutes.
A black screen doesn’t always mean that there’s an error. The system checks described above run in the background and can take several minutes to complete. This may appear to be an error since you'll only see a black screen, but it can be completely normal
except for the absence of the green startup animation screen. If after 10 minutes the screen remains black, you should attempt an offline system update (OSU).

To use the Offline System Update, you'll need:

A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
A USB flash drive with a minimum 6 GB of space formatted as NTFS.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your message.

Unfortunately, I don’t have another TV monitor and when I plug the xbox into my laptop (a windows 10 newer HP model) it doesn’t display the xbox.

I only have one hdmi port on that laptop so it may only be an output hdmi.

Once I get a different laptop or monitor I’ll try again. In the mean time, do you know of anything else I can try?
