Xbox one black screen after July 21 update - fix ?

1-If you do an offline reset it will delete all your games and will have to install again.

2-To access the new update if it leaves will have to be on the normal screen of the Settings menu.

The procedure I went through will not delete games, just reset the console and will keep your console settings.

I have the same problem as many others with my original XBOX 1 - by reading a sugarcane fix is to preform a hard rest a thing that i would like to avoid - is it a possible solution to do an offline firmware update by using a USB ? Did anyone tried that ?

Thank you but still you have not cleared the offline update issue as if the online update went south as it looks many were affect so by pushing new update either offline or online should fix it no ? Can you please verify and explain it ? I really hate to hard reset it all as we are family of 3 using vibrant profiles and using it on a daily base.

On a different note do you know if MS are working on a fix ? Hard reset is my last thing that I want to do - Thank you

I do believe that you are doing something wrong.

Do check the official MS site and follow the instructions including format the USB for NTFS.

D/L the offline files mount on USB simply plug in.

On the main menu choose the USB update and that's it.

I have verify it twice and it works as magic.

So maybe you are doing something wrong or maybe you do have hardware problems.
