That's really not much to go on since there can be a lot of other variations in TV's. If that's all you have to go by though I'd probably choose the larger full HD display assuming that 60Hz vs 120Hz is the only other difference.

 

I'd personally go for a monitor, for one they are cheaper, and secondly they have much much lower input lag (usually 9-11ms max) compared to most tv's which are at 30-100ms at the top end. If you get a tv with over like 45-50 ms you will be able to tell.

Basically if you play FPS and are somewhat competitive get a monitor, if you are convicted on getting a tv do your research and try to get one under 30ms input lag.

 

As Buffmuffin said, a monitor is a much better option over a TV for console gaming given the input lag. No point in getting something above 60Hz and 1920 x 1080 since consoles don't support higher resolutions. Not sure if I can post URLs here but if you
go to pcmonitors.info you'll find monitor recommendations for console gaming. The monitor they're currently recommending is the Samsung AD-PLS. Great reviews on Amazon for it, too.
