Xbox One being VERY slow after my power randomly went out PLEASE HELP

It was raining hard and my power randomly went out while I was playing my Xbox. When the power came back, my power brick wouldn't turn on. I unplugged it and waited for about 5 minutes and plugged it back in and it started working. When I turned on my
Xbox and tried to sign in, it told me that I cannot connect to Xbox Live (even though the network I was connected to was back online). I tried starting a game. It wouldn't start. Nothing worked and the dashboard was very slow and laggy. It's been 24 hours
since the power randomly went out, and my xbox still won't connect to the internet, start any games or apps, or let me sign in.

Xbox Shutdown

My xbox has randomly shutdown and ive tried to take it out of the power and plug it back in and it wont turn back on. it randomly turned off in game so I don't really know what to do.

please help.

Sorry to hear it. It is very possible that the outage may have damaged the console. Please try heading to Settings>My Disc & Blu Ray then click Clear Persistent Storage 3 times. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down then
unplug everything from the console and let it sit for 5 minutes.

If that doesn't solve the issue then you may need to send it in for repair.

It's weird, I didn't do anything and my xbox is working just fine again. The damage must have been temporary or something. Thanks for the help though.

It was a little slow at installing update after downloading it went green screen with xbox One written there for like 5 minutes almost felt like a 10 minute setup and my download was very quick.

You need to run through the steps shown at this link to determine whether your Xbox is fried:

support.xbox.com/.../console-wont-power-on

If the light on the power supply is flashing orange or not lighting up, more than likely you'll just need a new power supply. Also try using a different power socket, especially if you use a surge protector.
