Xbox one being hijacked by Youtube app

First of all, wow it is a process trying to get xbox support. Basically the issue I’ve been having is a roommate on the same wifi keeps casting to my xbox, which completely overrides what I’m doing and opens up youtube, making me lose progress or get disconnected.
I’ve disabled “allow play to streaming” and everything else under the device connections settings. I’ve also gone to the youtube settings and made sure there’s no linked devices but the problem still persists and it is so frustrating. Pls help

This is an old solution i found, hopefully it still works:

Under settings, then PREFERENCES, go to XBOX APP CONNECTIVITY, you can either change it from "Allow from any device" to "Only from profiles signed in on this xbox request" or on the right you can just uncheck the two boxes on the right.

Edit: sorry looks like the above doesnt work; think the only way to fix it us to uninstall the youtube app on the Xbox

For me this issue is stopped after uninstalling youtube completely shutting off the console pulling the power for a bit and restarting. It only occurs when youtube is reinstalled. XB support advises it's an issue with YouTube and can only be resolved with
a future YouTube app update. For the time being I am removing the app from the Xbox One.
