    Xbox one behaving weird (menu last option, selected by default)


    Yesterday, I was using Xbox one for around 20-25 mins and suddenly Xbox started behaving weirdly.

    Firstly, The character in the game just went round and round in circles as if I was moving it to right totally.. Then when I went to the home page, the last option of the menu is selected not the first option. Also this happens in the menu screen as well,
    the settings tab is selected by default. Even on the key pad the last option on the right Enter or RB were selected and not allowing to move the control to any alphabets and select any alphabets

    When I try to select other options in the menu, the control moves back to the last option automatically, and unable to do anything as the control moves to the last option.

    I have tried factory resetting and clearing cache, nothing worked. I am unable to understand whether the issue is with the console or controller. Added to this I have tried installing the Xbox app thinking it could be the controller issue. I see the same
    issue control moving to the last option.

    Can anyone please help me

    Xbox One not changing channels on dish Hopper

    This thread led me to the right answer (IR being off by default), on my Hopper I hit "menu" on the remote, selected "settings" , selected "remote manager", selected "IR", then set to "enable."

    It will now take the channel change signals from the Xbox.

    Menu behaving erratic

    Hi, I had the unit unplugged for an entire day. Wired the controller directly to the console. Restarted but still same erratic behaviour when trying to navigate the screen.

    Any other suggestions?

    Now that you tell me, I could notice that its a controller issue. It does not "behave" the same way when the controller is off. The weird thing is that I can go though all the menu, but it goes crazy in the "Start" menu.

    Alright, in this scenario I will recommend trying a factory reset. That would be the best option as it will reinstall updates. Resetting will remove everything off the Xbox One console, but your cloud saves will come back down once you reset. To do a factory
    reset, do the following:

    • Press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and select Settings.
    • In the Settings menu, select System.
    • In the System menu, select 'Restore to factory defaults' in the Storage
    Follow those steps and reinstall FIFA 15 and let us know how it goes!

    Click on the profile icon near the top-right and select Settings from the flyout menu. Go to the General tab. Click on the drop-down menu under Change where this app installs by default. Select the desired drive from the list of options.

    unplug the console for five minutes. The plug back in, the if you can plug in the controller to the console and update the controller. And check settings under wireless and select restart wireless should help

    I eventually managed to get to the Settings and did a Reset (without deleting the apps and games) - the XBox wireless controllers seems to be over- or under responsive - either jumping all over the place or not reacting at all. Should I get them serviced?
    Also checked that they have the latest firmware and this was fine.
