    Xbox One BC System Link over WiFi?


    Backwards Compatibility is great, isn't it? But there's always one thing that annoys me, and that is the issues attached to the System Link emulation. As you may know, in order to play X360 titles over System link they must be physically connected either
    through a patch cable or router/switch to work properly. Without this, System Link parties may be able to see each other, but cannot connect. Is anyone from Microsoft or the admin team able to talk about whether the System Link for Backwards Compatible games
    will be improved to work over the Wi-Fi, or is this how it will remain? Is there an underlying problem that simply cannot be overcome?

    System linking

    This is specifically for back ops 3 zombies. I'm trying to system link with my brother, we are both offline, we can find each other on the "find LAN game" but when we go to join each other, it is party is not joinable. Any solutions?

    I thought system link was only for the original xbox. You sure you arent stuck in the year 2003 buddy?

    Discussion space for people who want Backwards Compatibility added to the Xbox One.

    I'm sure over time the PS4 and Xbox One will end up making a better version of the systems that will support BC.

    That is my point: he can system link between two Ones or 360s but not between a 360 and a One. Maybe BC will fix it. Either way he still has to have 2 seperate copies of game...one for each console. He wants to play system link with just one game copy
    and he can't. And of course the game has to have a system link option.

    Xbox one should have been BC since launch. they were in a rush..... Nintendo WiiU is BC with all previous systems.

    I know that you can use one Ethernet cable to connect two Xbox's directly which is considered Wired Connection System Link, and you can have 2-4 consoles connect through WiFi directly to each other which is considered Wireless Connection System Link, but
    there is an option to connect multiple Xbox's together through a router or hub for System Link play. Is it confirmed that all units have to be connected with Ethernet for that? Surely if they're connecting through the router/hub, it shouldn't matter if they're
    connected to it via WiFi or physical cable?
