Xbox One BC Rant...

Since we kicked off Xbox One Backward Compatibility in November, we’ve been extremely happy with the response and engagement. Fan feedback is essential in shaping the Xbox experience, and it was integral in making Xbox One Backward Compatibility a reality.
To date, millions of your fellow Xbox gamers around the world have already logged more than 21 million hours playing Xbox One Backward Compatibility games – and we’re continuing to listen.

Based on your feedback, the Xbox Engineering team will start to pilot a new way to launch Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles. Starting today, we’ll release titles as they become available, rather than a set monthly launch date.What this
means for you is that you won’t have to wait to find out the latest titles; we’ll release whatever is available, when they’re available, once each title has received the engineering and publisher stamp of approval.

OP clearly hasn't played any of the original BF series or else he wouldn't have posted such a rediculous rant! BC was NOT a BF

You don't need it to play bc or digital games.

Might be worth actually understanding something before going on a rant about it.

 

like they said, they have to wait for the software engineers to finish setting each game up and testing and then getting publisher approval, not a walk in the park it takes alot of time to sort these matters out.

 

Yeah it can take time for the publisher to re-release a game for backwards compatibility. See, it's not Xbox live's fault that some publishers are taking their sweet old time. And a lot of publishers don't have to re-release these games. So I'm very happy
the majority of them are going to, or so I hope.

 

Xbox one should have been backwards compatible since launch day! They are now just doing work they should have done previously.... Xbox customer since 2000!

 

as the xbox one is a different system, making it BC is not that easy, also the developers may not want their games on the new system, and licencing issues prohibit making any 360 game work on the xbox one.

 

dude it's not that simple, the Xbox One has different architecture than the 360, so they've had to create an emulator from scratch and make each BC game compatible from scratch, as well as grab permission from the publisher, and I'm assuming the publisher
will have to work out the licenses in games that contain music and that all takes time, It isn't just press this button and they're done.
