Xbox One basic controller (white) female headphone jack not working

Hello, I've done all the trouble shooting. It is clear that the female headphone jack on the 6 month old controller packed with the Xbox One S no longer works. Everything else works on the controller. The headset/mic works with the other two controllers
(an original purchased 6 months ago, and a new one bought yesterday when the store wouldn't do an exchange).

Q Does the 1 year manufacturer's warranty cover controllers? If so, do they repair the item of issue a refund? If not does anyone know of a fix for this apparently common defect?

I think the warranty is only 90 days on accessories. But ill definitely give it a whirl.

The warranty should replace it for you free of charge. However, if it does happen again in the future, the only solution that seems to fix this issue permanently is to use the headset adapter. Good luck to you!
