Xbox One backwards compatibility region locked?

I've been playing on my Xbox a lot but i just now tried to get a 360 game that was backwards compatable. My problem was when I tried to get the game it said that backwards compatibility was not available in my region.

I don't know if this is a tech problem or it's just not in my region. If you know can you tell me? I'm in south Florida.

Can't say that any of my DLC for Gears is showing up in the game, perhaps it is being added by region?

If you havent queued it noone can extend the offer

If your account region doesnt reflect your actual region that would be why as it is region locked

The backwards compatible list is the same for all regions, but there may be some games that are region locked and may not be available in Brazil or all regions.

No drm region locking or 24 hour restrictions. No backwards compatibility

If you were signed into the same account that you use on the Xbox One then as long as the game is backwards compatible it should just show up in your "ready to install" section of your Xbox One.

Also, It should work as long as your the region that you are in is the same as the region for that game. Xbox 360 titles can be region locked.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble with a French disc not playing on backwards compatible on an Xbox One X. Unfortunately some content is region locked and may not be playable in all regions.
You would need to get the version of the game that is compatible to be able to play it.
