    Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Game Invites


    Hello. Whenever I get an invite from a friend that is playing on the Xbox 360, I am never able to open up their game invites on my Xbox One. Is there any way to fix this?

    Hi AdanAhmet,

    He will be only be able to play online with you if he buys xbox 360 games that are on the backward compatibility. that's the only way you will be able to play with each other. xbox one and the xbox 360 have different servers/ports.

    Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Game Invites

    Start+select button equals the old xbox360 button. Try holding them both to see if invites get accepted

    Sorry to hear it. In order for others to receive your invites they would need to be playing on a 360 or on Backwards Compatible games. If you are inviting those on the Xbox One then you would need to send them an Xbox One message inviting them to play

    Thanks for the update. Have you checked your invites also. These could be invites for games on the Xbox one, as you are playing a backward compatible game they may not show.

    I believe you can only do this via backwards compatible games. If you're on the Xbox One and playing a backwards compatible game, press the two buttons on either side of the Guide button, that will bring up the Xbox 360 guide. From that guide you'll be
    able to invite Xbox 360 players to a party chat, and also to join your game.
