Xbox one backwards compatibility And XBLA

To reply to Eggnogga. Not all of us have the space for both an Xbox One and Xbox 360 in the same room.

I want to be able to play my 360 games on the Xbox One. There is only one way I will ever get an overpriced 400 euro Xbox One and that's if it is Backwards Compatible.

When PC users upgrade they can still play that collection they have, dont they..... Why on earth should we spend so much money and put them in closet. I gave my Original xbox to a friend with 40+ games that i owned in 1yr to get 360. I was so annoyed when
i came to know he sold it.

How many games have you brought in last generation. 10, 20, 30 or 50 or 100. Lets not take the price into this equation. What should we do with that collection once the system it self is dead... average life of 360 is 5+ yrs. And my guess is it will be out
of production in two or three. What should people do with that collection. come on guys, why do we need a remastered version (im Halo fan and i seriously like MCC collection but). Why do we have to spend money again on the same thing, its redundant.

i dont understand the logic of preserving game collection when there is no working system to play those. Its not a well thought out plan for customers or it is well thought out to take the money out of our wallets.

I just dont know what to do with the little collection that i have and my 360 is dead already. I am waiting for MCC bundle (if it is being announced in coming days).

 

I do hope that they add some form of BC to the X1. Personally I never owned a Xbox 360, so I don't have any games for the system, but as there were some really good games for the Xbox 360, I wouldn't mind picking some up. I'm coming from a PS3 with over
30 games, and since PS4 wasn't BC, it made me more interested in purchasing an X1. I don't think that I would own a X1, if the PS4 was BC. I know of many Xbox 360 owner that switched to PS4 this gen for the same reason, so both sides lost customers due to
this reason, and I think that whichever side comes up with a solid way to add BC to their console, will have the biggest advantage this gen.

 

People Switched from 360 to PS4 because they don't Have BC also? Makes no sense at all.

 

Makes sense to me. If you can't get what you want BC for the X1 then buy products Microsoft's main competitor sells. Kind of a F you to Microsoft.

 

they're already doing something like this....

for example, the first 4 halo games are being ported over to the xbox 1. I know, this isn't quite what you meant when you started this thread, but at least they're doing it. who knows? if enough money gets made because of this happening, you can bet that
other game makers will follow the money and start porting their older (remade I hope) games to the xbox one

 

Still I want BC on the Xbox One so I can play all my Xbox 360 games on it. I don't want to have to spend money on the Xbox Live Arcade to get these games when I already own them.
