Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Adds Borderlands & All DLC!

Just checked - Borderlands, if bought digitally on the Xbox 360 Games Store, is $20 - not as cheap as I was hoping for, considering the game released a whopping 6 years ago (2009). Conversely, The Handsome Jack Collection is listed on the Xbox One Games
Store as $60 - which is still full price. So, to get both it'll cost me $80 total - which for me, is not worth it. Let me know if either goes on sale! Until then, forget it.

^^ I would just buy BL on disc, much much cheaper. I've seen it used for $5.

With that said, I've been playing it on the Xbox One and well, it's cooL BUT this game could have really used a remastered version instead of BL2 & BL:TPS. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed THC but it's hard for me to get into the original after playing those.
It's crazy how much of an improvement BL2 is over the original.

Hopefully there's still a chance for one to be released (maybe to build hype for BL3) in the future.

Strangely, I didn't like BL2 at all however as an rpg fan I was a little more compelled with BL. For those on the preview or even those waiting for November (it isn't far off) you could always get the disc extra cheap at a pawn shop or gs.

So was this a GWG on the 360 at one time? This showed up on my games to install list but I don't recall ever owning the disc. I'm thinking maybe I downloaded it as an old GWG offering? I never really played it.

Don't remember it ever being a freebie, though it was on a spotlight for like $4.99.

The backward compatible version of Borderlands includes the DLC with it, so there is no need to download it. As for the cloud storage, only game saves can be stored in the cloud. Some backward compatible games include DLC that you can download to the Xbox One, others like Borderlands include it in game.

Heya SLAY3R VII,

All Borderlands DLC is backwards compatible. Have you gone to "My Games and Apps", select Games and then Borderlands. Hit the menu button (start) and press Manage. You will see all available DLC content ready to be downloaded to your Xbox One.

Oh, I should probably add that playing on Xbox One with Borderlands downloaded into it through backwards compatibility.

If I remember rightly, the backward compatible version of Borderlands had the DLC included in the game, so there was no need to install it. Hence why the DLC disc was not compatible.

If this is true, how would I be able to verify that the add-on content is available on my Xbox One?

I also own the digital copy of the base game as well.

I think you misunderstand. I am not referring to Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition with all DLC, I am talking about the original digital version of Borderlands released in 2009. That's where I had to purchase the DLC for on Xbox 360 as it's not available on Xbox One

Yes I know what game you were referring to. The original Borderlands was made backward compatible with its DLC included.
