  1. Xbox One Backwards Compatability with games I own on Xbox 360

    Hello

Would be grateful for some help. I'm probably missing something!

Several games I own are BC on Xbox One. For example, Mirror's Edge, Gears of War and Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts.

However, when I go to download them, they aren't free and it wants me to pay for them. I own the hard copies of these games. Is there any way I can play these on my Xbox One, or is it because I own hard copies I can't download them for free? If it's the
    latter that's quite annoying.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

You will need to use the discs to install the games and then have the disc in the drive every time you want to play any of the disc based games. Just having the game on disc doesn't entitle you to a digital copy of the same game. Since Mirror's Edge was
a Games with Gold 360 game for Sept 2016 you should have been able to download the digital version of that game for free at the time.

    Scage,

Jayadub is correct, since you own the hard copy of the game, all you have to do is insert the disc and is should download the game. However, you will still need the disc to play the game.

game on 360 and the same game on xbox one

    Hey there Thunder!

I definitely understand not wanting to purchase the game twice, Unfortunately the Game that you are talking about is not Backwards compatible, It has it's own specific copies for the Xbox 360 console, and another one for the Xbox One consoles.

Here is a list of backwards compatible titles :

Game state of decay on xbox 360 not appear on my library anymore

    Hi,

The Xbox 360 version of State of Decay is not backwards compatible with the Xbox One, which is why it won't appear on your library. If you're still interested in this game you need to buy the Xbox One version.

If a 360 game is not on the Backwards compatible list you won't be able to play it on your Xbox One regardless of you owning the title.
