    Xbox One backward compatibility with Re-released games?


    OK bad title but...

    Question I have is what about games that already have an Xbox One version and you have bought the Xbox 360 version. Will we get these free? Case in point: Brothers: A tale of two sons. I own on the 360 and it is currently available on the One.

    Backwards Compatibility-Start Focusing More On Console Releases!

    More games will be released for backwards compatibility, the thing is it comes down to the publishers of these games to re-release them. I know something like Ghosts wont be re-released because there's already an Xbox One version.

    It'll take time though, but a lot of these games will eventually be released for backwards compatibility.

    Backwards Compatibility

    How are games selected for backwards compatibility for Xbox One? I have been waiting feverishly for The Saboteur to be released as backwards compatibility and have not seen any information on whether this game will be brought back; I no longer have my Xbox
    360, so I have no way of re-playing The Saboteur until it is brought back for backwards compatibility.

    It depends on the publisher. Some of them have given games for free or at a discount if you own the 360 version. But otherwise you have to pay again to have it on the One.

    Considering that its a completely different game on xbox one, due to rockstar re-releasing there in 2014, the 360 version will not be backward compatible.

    Unfortunately the 360 versions are not backwards compatible as Marvel ultimate alliance 1 and 2 were re-released for xbox one / ps4 compatible
