xbox one backward compatibility purchases not working??

so recently i really wanted halo reach on my xbox one, but i went to buy it & it says 'you have no valid payment options on file. microsoft account balances cannot be used in this purchase channel.' it gives me the option to change payment options but i
have a credit card w sufficient funds put in my acc?? ive tried looking for answers on the forums but i cant really find a clear answer, help is appreciated ty

xbox back compat game not working

Far Cry 4 is not backwards compatible - Xbox One Backward Compatibility It is available for the Xbox One if you purchase the One version.

xbox 360 games i had digitally bought arnt showing in my ready to install in my xbox 1

Watchdogs is not backwards compatible. So you would have to purchase the One version in order to play it on the One. Xbox One Backward Compatibility

Hi

For Xbox 360 game purchases, you can only use account credit when making the purchase via an Xbox 360 console. This is due to the way the store was designed initially.

If it won't let you choose a different payment method you have attached to your account, there might be an issue with the payment method or it isn't available for that purchase.

You can try making the purchase directly via xbox.com to see if that lets you choose your credit card on file, failing that you could try using a different card if you have that option or PayPal.

You can also try contacting Xbox Support here: support.xbox.com/contact-us to see if there is an issue with your account.

A limited 360 dashboard emulator to provide full store access to 360 purchases. That is probably the fastest bug free solution for MS departments to offer and you should probably keep repeating this suggestion until it reaches the right ears.

The One store/website have never been updated to work with the currency system for backwards compatible content. The only way to purchase backwards compatible games with the funds on your account is through a 360 console.

Oblivion is backwards compatible so it will work on the One X. You can view a list of backwards compatible games at https://www.xbox.com/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games

IF Skyrim is the Xbox 360 version of the game, then that will not work on the Xbox One as the game is not backward compatible. If you want to play it, then you will either have to use an Xbox 360 or purchase the Xbox One remastered version of the game.

With backwards compatibility, any game from the 360 or Original Xbox that is backwards compatible will work on the One. There's not a specific One version for that game. So yes, you would need to purchase the 360 version of that game in order to play it
on the One.
