Xbox One Backward compatibility - Games already purchased

I have not been able to find out an answer to this. For games that i bought on Xbox 360, will I have to repurchase them for Xbox One? I had recently purchased TellTale Game of Thrones on my 360 before it finally broke for good. I am assuming the backwards
compatibility will allow that game on Xbox One. Will I need to repurchase it?

Buying Xbox backwords compatible game's from Xbox 360 to play on Xbox one

For digitally purchased games, as long as it is on the
backward compatibility list, the game will automatically show up in the "Ready to Install" list of the Xbox One so you can install and play from there.

If the game was a 360 game and is on the backwards compatibility list then you'll be able to play it Xbox One Backward Compatibility any DLC purchased
should be available for it as well.

If it was an Xbox One game purchased before you had the console then it will still be available to you in the Ready to Install list.

Depends on if the game makes the BC list.

If it does, just put your 360 disc in the Xbox One and you're good to go.

If you bought it digitally, it will be sat waiting on your download queue when it becomes available.

If you've already purchased any games that are backwards compatible, they'll show as ready to install in your library in your Games and Apps. If you previously played them on a 360 and stored your save on the cloud, your save will be there when you start
to play the game.

If you're looking to purchase backwards compatible games, you would do so the way you purchase One games through the Xbox store. You cannot use a Microsoft account balance to purchase backwards compatible games through the One, so you would need to use a
credit card or Paypal to make the purchase.

Hi, you're wrong about having to purchase the games again if you already own backward compatible games (disc or digital), then you log in with the account you purchased the games with, then you can download them from your ready to install section of my games
and apps. For any disc games that are compatible, just insert the disc and install the game like installing an xbox one game. For the full list of games that are compatible (they are some AAA games on the list) have a look here majornelson.com

The One store/website have never been updated to work with the currency system for backwards compatible content. The only way to purchase backwards compatible games with the funds on your account is through a 360 console.

The game was never backward compatible. Probably due to licence agreements having already expired. The only way to continue playing the game, is to purchase another Xbox 360. The list of backward compatible games can be found here https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/games/backward-compatibility
