XBox One B.C list released.....

Personally not impressed with the list so far, I know it will get better over time though.

 

The only thing that's going to get better with time is that there will be more current gen XBox ONE titles to play.

Some titles are classics but they are classics for what they were when they released when they released.

Not for what they are now.

 

^It will only get better when Ninja Gaiden 2 makes that list, haha.

 

As I am happy to get some of my arcade games on my Xbox one, I was really hoping for some Splinter cell, and Command and conquer

 

Glad to see the Bioshock games on the "Coming Soon" list, but disappointed not to see F:NV, Skyrim or Red Dead Redemption.

Oh well. I have my 360 hooked up and handy if I need to scratch that itch so ... life goes on.

 

I mainly care about Fallout 3 and the older Gears Titles so I can go back and play them again before Gears of War 4 releases.

 

I was also a little underwhelmed with this list. I expected to see a lot more 360 games, with a few arcade titles mixed in there, but it seems the opposite is true. Hoping to see more good additions soon. Maybe the better "Or bigger" games just take more
time for them to get working.

If they add Red Dead at some point soon, I'll be a happy camper. I even purchased it digitally in a recent sale just in hopes that it'll get added at some point in time.

The real interesting thing will be how they get these games to run.

As part of the preview program I have been able to test out Gears. I found, for the most part at least, that the game ran pretty smoothly. Some sections though had severe frame rate issues. I suspect that this was caused by the emulator forcing all games
to be vertically synced. On sections of Gears, I found the fps drop from what felt like a solid 30 fps to 10 fps.

Now assuming they have now worked out the kinks and removed the forced vysnc to the adaptive one that most Xbox 360 games use, it will be interesting to see if the emulator and the Xbox One can maintain those frame rates, especially for those 60 fps titles.

 

Kind of sad and surprised to see that Skyrim or Red Dead didn't make it on there.

But glad the Gears games are all coming. And the Bioshock series on the way.

Now if they just add Left 4 Dead 2 I'll be content ^-^

 

I notice that "Darkstar One" isn't on the list.

Is this because the XBox ONE would struggle to run it at 1080p?

 

It's an ok list for the first run. Nothing really peaks my interest. However they are working on bringing over the first Black Ops and that I would love. I was surprised to see that. Activision could get so much more money out of a remaster. But I won't
complain.

 

Mike Ybarra actually said mass effect 2 and 3 are being worked on but they are multi disc games that require a little extra work
