Xbox One Avatar Update

Last year xbox teased an update for a new revamp to the Avatars, a system that hadnt really been updated since it was introduced. The system talked about offered clothing choices for every character sex, with no limitations, offering no restrictive clothing,
and making more options available to those with disabilities and to those who want to show them off. But thanks to a number of setbacks, it has been delayed several times since the orignal release date of Fall 2017, if anyone wants to talk about anything regarding
this, this is a great place to look, hopefully we can fill it with updates, and even suggestions that fellow employees at Xbox can see.

Avatars?

I very well may be wrong but I thought I heard that the Windows 10 update will have avatars more so?Click to expand...

this is correct they are being added to the xbox app in windows 10 and as far as I heard it will be in the xbox in some fashion with the redesign they also opened the avatar stuff up for L: id@xbox with the new update so some avatar games should be coming out

Avatar not updated

Our program uses Xbox 360 avatar information. Unfortunately, this means that in order to update your avatar on our webpage, you will have to update your avatar using a Xbox 360 console. While we are looking at updating to using Xbox One information, at the
current time we only use the 360 Avatars. Apologies for the confusion.

Hi, The new avatar update or upgrade is being tested now by the Alpha Skip Ahead/Alpha insiders, so it shouldn't be too long before it is released to everyone.

There's still a lot of feedback going to the insiders team from those in the Alpha rings. The fact that they are taking in the feedback from the first group is good. They want to get these right.

Pretty much the same for me, I've now got 2 different avatars one on the 360 with my avatar awards and one on the Xbox One refusing to update, I can't change the Xbox One version as the avatar awards are missing.

I think since the avatars are being updated on the Xbox One, we might see a return of the avatars on the new Xbox. Also, I hope Microsoft continues adding backwards compatibility as that is one of my favorite features on the Xbox One.

Thank you for contacting Forum support!

The Xbox had a new update that allows users to also "Update their Avatar! The new avatar does have its own store for new items and props as well. (Made specifically for the new avatar)

Should you feel you want to use the Older items that ware purchased, you will have to download

Xbox Original Avatars and use the original avatar. Check out
Where’s my old avatar stuff?

Hi, they are 2 Xbox Avatar apps available. One is the Xbox original Avatars which is for the Avatar you created during the Xbox 360 days, that app gets updated regularly usually fixing any bugs that have been found. The other is the Xbox Avatar beta for
the new avatar system which should be out soon. Currently only available to Xbox insiders on the Xbox One. If you have a Windows 10 PC, you might be able to download the beta app on there and test it if you want to.
