Xbox one avatar store purchase

For the past few days i have been trying to get some of the free avatar items on the store but it says (your account is unable to make this type of purchase on xbox.com please complete this transaction from your xbox) i am trying to make it from my xbox
one but it wont let me my account has unrestricted access to everything but it still wont let my i can only make purchases on my xbox 360 please help

Why do I need to use my credit card for purchase of avatar props?

Hello! I have tried to purchase avatar props and avatar costumes from the Avatar Store via the Xbox One console and Xbox Avatars app on my Windows 10 laptop. I have Xbox currency, which I purchased via Xbox currency cards, on my account and would like to
spend said currency on avatar items. However, I am not given an option to purchase avatar props with the Xbox currency; I am forced to use my credit card. Is there a way I can spend my Xbox currency on avatar items? Thank you for your time!

Problems purchasing stuff of store

Hi im having trouble purchasing items off the Xbox live store I go to buy an item and it tells me this purchase has to be made from my Xbox one and I am making this purchase on my Xbox one. It happens with all backwards compatible games and any items in
the avatar store. Can someone please help

The 360 store is set up differently than the store on the One and xbox.com. The restriction settings will only affect purchases made for the One and not content from the 360 (including avatar item). So you will have to use the 360 to make the purchases.

Is that the only way to do it cause I've been trying to get the over watch wings from watching the video and having the same problem as thekrispyshark and I'm not sure if you can purchase it off of the 360 store since it's an Xbox one content

The avatar store is working properly, there is no record of it failing. Remember that there are two types of avatars, the original avatar related to the Xbox 360 interface and the Xbox One avatar.

To purchase Xbox One avatar items you must use the "Xbox Avatar Editor" app, then go to the "Avatar Store" section.

If you have problems processing your payment please try these possible solutions in order to complete your purchase.

1. Remove the card you are trying to use and add it again.

2. Add another card

3. Try the purchase from a browser in incognito/private mode and clearing cookies and cache.

4. Try the purchase from another device, for example, you can use a mobile phone, PC or tablet.

3. If in your country other payment methods are offered in the Microsoft Store, for example Paypal, you can try to associate your card to Paypal and then make your purchase with Paypal.

The avatar store is set up on the same store as the 360. Unfortunately the One store has never been updated to work with the Microsoft account balance for purchasing items from the 360 store. Hopefully once the new avatars are released you may be able to
purchase the items with the funds.

you cant use purchases with the old avatar to the new one

you can still use the old one and you still have those purchases but the apps are completely separate

new avatars and new store for them
