Xbox One automatically turns on and off

G'day!

So i have recently just come back from a three week holiday, and when i went to turn my Xbox on, it wouldnt turn on. After figuring out was the issue was the xbox started repeatedly making the xbox on chime over and over again and would not stop. It then
made the xbox off chime and then the on chime again.

I had to unplug the xbox to stop it and then after plugging it back in, the chimes continued. Keep in mind the xbox did turn on, but would turn off after the xbox off chime played.

Recently my xbox has been turning off by itself and then turning itself back on again and it is becoming very infuriating.

Some help would be MUCH appreciated,

I believe resetting the console may have fixed the issue! I well let you know if the issue continues, but thank you for the support!

Hello Liam,

Do you have the console plugged into a power strip or extension cord? This could cause issues with the power for the console. If the console is try plugging it directly into a wall socket and see if the issue persists. If it does after that you may want
to think about getting the console repaired as it may be malfunctioning. You can go to

Device support and set one up.

Unfortunately, after a couple of days of it running completely fine and bug free, it decided that it wanted to go back to its old state and continue to make the sound.

I appreciate all of the help that you have given me though!
