Xbox One automatically shuts off after 30 seconds to a minute

I have tried disconnecting the Xbox One from the power cord, unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet, and tried to plug Xbox One into another outlet and it still has the same issue. While unit is turned on, controller doesn't connect. I have tried multiple times to do a hard reset with no success.

If you are connected on wifi some wireless routers have some settings that can cause your Xbox One console to shut down randomly. A power saving setting on the router or another network setting may cause this issue. Also other factors that could cause and fix this would be if the console is too hot, you can also try and troubleshoot your power supply, change your console settings so it doesn't turn off automatically or reset your system. Ok yeah then that makes sense. I used to have one of the 1st Gen XOne console and ran into the same issue. I ended up getting the Gears 4 Collectors and never had that issue again. I think that console was Gen 2 if I'm not mistaken, I also have an XOneX and haven't had that issue either. More than likely it was just a 1st Gen problem, sometimes 1st Gen systems have issues, but you never know for certain if you are gonna end up with one.

Thank you for the suggestion. I turned off the Wi-Fi Router, and tried my Xbox, but it did not rectify the issue. I can turn on my Xbox, but it automatically shuts off after about 30-60 seconds. I cannot connect a controller, and it doesn't put out a signal for the HDMI cord to pick up, so I have no way of accessing the settings on my Xbox. I have also tried multiple power outlets, inspecting the power cord for any faults, and doing a hard reset (which was unsuccessful on multiple attempts) and nothing seems to work. i have the first generation of Xbox one consoles, so maybe it's time for me to cave and buy a new Xbox

I think your power supply may be faulty or improperly connected!

It may simply need a power reset. Often, power issues are due to the power supply resetting after a power surge.

To reset the internal power supply, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the power cord from the console.
   
2. Wait 10 seconds.
   
3. Plug the cord back into the console, and then press the Xbox button  on the front of the console.
   

If the issue persists, here are some points to check:

• Check that the wall outlet you’re using is working with other devices.
  
• Check that the power cable is firmly connected to the wall outlet and to your console.
  
• Ensure that you're using the power cable that came with your console, and that it's the correct cable for your region.
  

If your console still will not turn on, it needs to be serviced. To request service, sign in to Microsoft account | Devices with your Microsoft account and submit a service order.

Do a power cycle turn off the xbox holding the button for 30 seconds then after it shut off wait a few minutes then turn it on, it should stop the game from freezing
