Xbox One automatic wifi connection issues!

I understand you need help your Xbox connection problem.

Please try doing these steps:

Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

If this does not help, your console maybe having a hard ware issue but try to see if it connects automatically when wired.

Never had the controllers disconnect but my day one console has had wifi issues since day one. The wifi typically does not connect when the console boots but it will connect automatically after about 5 minutes or so. Or I just pick my other wifi 5ghz v's
2.4ghz and it usually connects right up. Annoying yes. My wifi router is in LOS, and I made sure that the power levels were good and the channels were clear. Sorry to say I don't have a clear answer for the wifi issue.

Isn't a wired connection automatically turning off the WiFi adapter?

Had the same issue above but now its solved. I contacted Microsoft support and they helped me out in 5 mins - the issue is related to connecting the xbox one s to a power strip or regulator, I connected directly to the wall outlet (the power brick is inside
the xbox and will protect it for power surges) - now it works wonders and connects automatically to wifi when waking up from instant on mode. Hope this helps

So this might be a stupid question but is everything on the same network? if so then is everything over wifi or connected via lan cable, I think sometimes having one device on wifi and other on cable can cause a bit of an issue (its super random but happens).

Then another thing is, is the IP for the xbox a static IP or a automatic one? if it is automatic try setting a static one to see if that fixes the issue.

Another thing would be to just check which version of the companion app you are using, i doubt that would actually make a difference but its better to just check all areas.
