    Xbox one auto update killed my Xbox!


    Hi.

    Recently i was using my xbox as normal, until an auto update prompt screen came up telling me that it is time for an update.

    I start the download like usual, however this time it starts to take an unusually long amount of time.

    The xbox tries to restart, but only loads up green recrangles all over my screen.

    The Microsoft help guide tells me to do a factory reset. Which restarts the xbox in psychedelic or inverted colours.

    Nothing was able to fix the screen - and the next day the xbox failed to even start.

    My issue is that the xbox was working perfectly fine before your update and not after.

    Is this how you get users to upgrade their systems? By making their machine download a patch that kills it?

    Id like Microsoft to contact me with a resolution to this or i will have no choice but to cancel my account and all billing associated with it.

    Any updates on this? It just happened to me today as well. Switching rooms didn't work, nor did the power bank reset or the "pair & eject" method

    I had the same thing happen a day or two ago as well.

    I have an original Xbox one and now it’s completely dead.

    Reading and finding that these are no longer manufactured or supported by Microsoft 😐😐😐

    That update was well know for killing xbox's. My one was killed by it as well. I had to buy another in the end.
