Xbox One auto powering up

Hello all!

I have recently begun to experience a bizarre issue with my Xbox. After turning it off (completely shuts down) it decides after 1-20 minutes to turn itself on again. It powers up as it would if you turned it on and started playing a game.

I have the Xbox in Power Saver, so there should be no ability for voice or kinect activation. Has anyone else had this happen? Or does anyone know what causes it?

Dead Rising Install Stuck

This happened to me on Tomb Raider. What I did to fix it was:



1: Select the install by highlighting it and pressing start (the 3 line button).

2: Stopping the installation via the pop up window that has now appeared.

3: Powering down the Xbox One by holding the power button for 8 - 10 seconds.

4: Waiting 30 seconds and then powering up the Xbox One.

5: Resuming the installation via the same way you stopped it, unless it auto resumes.

Xbox One Powering Up Issue

My Xbox One all of a sudden just powered down and now will not turn back on. I reset the Internet and unplugged the entire console several times and it still won't work please help solve this issue.

Ok, so could you check none of this is happening:

• Check theres nothing near the power button
• Check that the controller isn't being plugged in after the console was turned off
  
• Check that the controllers are not turning on

The controllers remain off when the console powers up.

 

Ok, does it turn on only when your TV is on? Or does it randomly turn on anytime?

 

And do you have a mobile phone linked to it, apparently they can turn them on?

 

I have had them same thing happen to me twice now and both about 20mins or so after turning it off. I also have mine in power saving mode and my controller never turns on.

 

My TV and Xbox are both off, but my Xbox turns my TV on automatically.

My Phone isn't linked to my Xbox Per se, but I sometimes use Smart Glass through my iPhone 6, however I haven't used it for a while.

 

Could i get you too unplug the kinect and see if that fixes it?

 

I've unplugged it and plugged it back in, which seems to have stopped the problem for now.

Hi, I'm also experiencing this same issue. This just started happening out of the blue, I've not changed any settings or moved anything on my Xbox. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back and it did fix the issue for about a day but it's back to doing
the same thing. I have no idea what could be causing this.

I've yet to experience the issue again since I've unplugged and plugged the Kinect back in, perhaps I will see it happen again if you have.

I'm not sure what other issues could cause it.
