Xbox One Auto game updates has stopped working.

Hello guys and girls

So my issue is that my Xbox no longer seems to auto update games when in low power mode. Yes, the Xbox is set to insta on with auto updates ticked. My Xbox comes with me to work on a ship for at least a week at a time with no internet access, so when I return
I expect updates, normally I will update the game myself when I plug back into live. When I was away last a update came out for a game, I came home and plugged my Xbox back into live and played some other games, I expected my Xbox to auto update overnight
and would be good to go, but it does not. Last night I had to update NBA 2k14, Fifa 14, Killer Instinct, Assassins Creed, Tomb raider, Forza 5 and Call of Duty Ghost, over 10 gigs of updates, all done manually. All the updates had came out over the last few
weeks. I had not played those games for weeks. Why had my Xbox not updated them? Does the Xbox need to be connected to the internet the day the update is released?

Sometimes I will put a game in and it will just quickly install a update, so I know it has auto updated, and there will be a notification to launch the game. So I think it may have something to do with me disconnecting my Xbox from live. If this is the case
I think the Xbox needs to be able to tell once re-connected to live that there is updates available and download them overnight.

I'm having this problem with a few DVDs.

On probably a related note-- the "HDMI Auto-Detect" function stopped working. This has worked on this tv before and for some reason it stopped working. I had to manually select HDMI.

-I've switched HDMI Cables

-I've power cycled the XBOX One

-I've power cycled my TV

-I'm fairly confident that I've played this DVD on the XBox one before and it's stopped working

-I'm running the beta UI updates

 

August update out now

My Kinect has stopped working. Need some time to test but I find XBox One really sluggish after the August update

I have the same problem, but my xbox has always been connected to the internet, it might have been disconnected for some minutes when rebooting my router but nothing else.

I think it used to work but not anymore, I need to manually activate the updates in order to have my Xbox one to download and install them... Let's see if we get some light about this, because I know several people who have this same issue, even one of them
still has it even after installing march update beta.

 

So anybody from MS want to comment on this?

 

Ok, so I restored default Settings and reinstalled everything and it is now working fine.

 

I have restored my XBOX 1 to default settings twice and my instant on features haven't worked in over a year. No system updates, no game updates, the system won't come on with my voice commands nothing works. I have all the settings checked correctly I promise,
I have unchecked rechecked, left it off and unplugged for 24 hours one several occasions and the instant on features still do not work for me. About June/July or 2014 is just stopped working. So I am constantly greeted with...oh you can't use your system until
stare at this progress bar for a system update, or oh you can't play that game until you install this update.....it's pathetic. Of course given that I went through 8 XBOX 360's because they were essentially a hunk of poop with cool games, my day one xb1 is
still kicking and I have less than ZERO interest in trying to send this in and getting someones broken xb1. Yet NOTHING on the net that I can find with any concrete here is how to restore your instant on settings. Pretty disappointing there xbox.
