Xbox One Audio Problems

I spent a good chunk of my evening playing Battlefield Hardline and everything worked perfectly (namely the audio) and as soon as I decided to switch to TV, the sound went off. The Xbox system sounds could still be heard as I was using my kinect and voice
controls and the acknowledgement and clarification sounds could be heard clearly. I tried switching to Netflix and had the same problem as is the same problem with Amazon instant video. I did, however switch back to Battlefield and the sound was working
again. Any solutions?

I've tried restarting my xbox, tv, cable box, etc. and I'm for sure tapped for ideas....

Sorry to hear you are having audio problems.

What console is it that you are using? Just follow some basic troubleshooting for the appropriate Console and let us know how it works.

MacGyver,

I would do the following:

1. Turn off your Xbox by holding the power button in for about 10 seconds

2. disconnect the power from the wall

3. unplug your Kinect

4. Reconnect the power and turn on

5. Determine if that corrects the sound issue (if it does you may need to get your kinect repaired)

6. Repeats step 1 and 2

7. Reconnect your Kinect

8. Repeat 4 and 5

Also, try connecting the audio directly to your TV and see what happens. If none of those work I would suggest going here:

support.xbox.com/.../troubleshoot-sound

And lastly if nothing above works, you should contact support at:

I have all those games and I'm not having any issue. Maybe try to delete a game and reinstall it to see if it is a problem with the download or if it is a problem with the console itself.

I normally don't have audio problems while playing multiplayer other than not being able to listen to the game audio. It could be that you have problems with your headset or mic?

The problem is right now the connectors at the bottom of the new controllers are different, they have increased the frequency of the audio too (which equates to better audio quality).

They are working on an adapter but there's no release date, but it's worth noting the Xbox One comes with a headset (even though it's a cheap one).
