    Xbox One audio problem.

So I'm playing battlefield 4, wearing my headset and decide that I don't want to play battlefield 4 anymore. So I exit the game and unplug my headset from the controller since I won't need it, I open Netflix because I want to watch some of Bates Motel. Except,
wait, I can't because no sound will come out of my TV. I have to plug my headset back into my controller in order for sound to come out of my TV again and I can't turn my controller off because then it doesn't register the headset and sound won't come out
of my tv so I burn through batteries. Then I realized if I turn my Xbox off and back on the sound will come through without my headset. But I HAVE to restart the xbox or the sound won't work. Any ideas? Oh and doing a hard reset doesn't fix this problem. I've
done hundreds of hard resets since last March when I got the console. Any help here?

    :)

    Problems with Dashboard audio

I seem to be having some problems with the audi on my Xbox One's dashboard. If I select an app or play a game there seems to be no issue however any video I watch off the dashboard or even the clicking sound you get when selecting something there is no audio. I see that there is a service announcement up for some Live functions on MS's website but do not really see anything about this particular issue. Any advice?

You may have a setting on either your tv or Xbone that prioritizes playing sound through your headset than through your tv. You should check that if you already haven't.

I have all those games and I'm not having any issue. Maybe try to delete a game and reinstall it to see if it is a problem with the download or if it is a problem with the console itself.

My current turtle beach headset with the xboxONE

The problem is right now the connectors at the bottom of the new controllers are different, they have increased the frequency of the audio too (which equates to better audio quality).

They are working on an adapter but there's no release date, but it's worth noting the Xbox One comes with a headset (even though it's a cheap one).

Here's a link for you to compare the audio codecs you might find useful:
