Xbox One Audio Drop when gaming

Hi,

Hoping Someone can help with a problem I've had since buying a new sound
system - have called Richer Sounds, googled the sh*t out of this and can't seem to get a resolution! Is driving me nuts.

I have an orignal Xbox One, with an Onkyo HTs5805 (Dolby Atmos Speaker set up with AV receiver), and a Panasonic 58ex700b.

The issue I have is with the audio when gaming. The setup runs absolutely fine with the Virgin box and works great with Netflix and You Tube through Xbox. The problem occurs when playing games - some games
seems to affect it more than others, specifically Forza titles (!?!?). The audio will cut in and out. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all, other times its every few seconds and other times it may happen once or twice every 5 minutes - seems completely random.

I have the Xbox settings all configured to enable me to get Dolby Atmos and this works great for Netflix etc. HDMI to TV from receiver, HDMI from Xbox to receiver.

Can anyone hazard a guess as to what is going on here? Seems bizarre that there is no audio issues with apps on the Xbox, only with games?

If any more information is needed in terms of current settings etc that are needed to help figure this out, let me know. Don't know where else to turn! Thanks for your time and appreciate any responses on
this.

live tv audio stuttering

I too have audio issues with Live TV thru XBOX ONE. DirecTV Genie unit. My audio will drop out for a very short period and then come right back.

Minor issue but annoying.

Xbox One S audio cuts out for a second every 30 minutes when 4K resolution selected.

Issue: audio cuts out for a second every 30 minutes when 4K resolution is selected on Xbox One S only. If I drop it back down to 1080p, the audio cut out disappears. Note, the audio drop occurs on ANY content in any app, not just 4K.

- happening on Xbox One S only obviously as the Xbox One non-S is not 4K capable

- using official MS Xbox One S HDMI cable connected to a 2016 brand new LG TV where all HDMI ports support HDMI2/HDCP2.2, audio cuts out

- tried a different HDMI cable, audio still cuts out

- tried using optical cable connected to soundbar, audio still cuts out

- adjusting down to 1080p eliminates issue (also eliminates the whole reason I bought the One S in the first place)

This is clearly an Xbox One issue, not my other equipment as verified by the above. The cables don't matter, using both TV and/or soundbar doesn't matter, the Xbox One S is creating the problem (and only if you select 4K resolution).

Xbox User fugettaboutit77 also reports this issue so this a clearly a thing. He has swapped out for a new Xbox One S and the issue persists.

I am having an issue when in Instant On Mode Cox Cable DVR-->Xbox One-->TV. When I wake it up it the video goes to static/"snow" and audio drops for one second every six seconds exactly.

I have an Xbox One X Scorpio Edition and have audio drop out problems too. I've been struggling to find out of it is a TV issue or Xbox problem and feel it is the Xbox. I've tried different HDMI cables and ports on my LG 55B7A OLED TV with no change.
Had an LG technician look at my TV and he felt the television was fine. The LG TV Netflix app runs audio fine optically to my receiver with no audio drop-out noticed. My PS4 hooked up via HDMI to my TV does not have issues with audio drop out with movies
or games. My Xbox One X is connected via HDMI to the TV and I get variable audio drop-out with games, blu ray movies, or apps like Netflix. The time period is variable where it doesn't seem to occur for maybe 20 to even 40 minutes, but then I might get a
few drop outs in a row. I sent my Xbox One X in for repair for a different issue (my home screen was black) and navigating screens was freezing or very slow), but I did mention the audio issue and was hoping it would be addressed. I'm not sure what support
did and they may not have addressed the audio complaint since it was tacked on towards the end of my support ticket or whatever. Really appreciate any advice from people. Thank you for your time.

I bought the XO Sevens and had two issues. 1 was audio drops all the time from the game sound, and 2 was the entire controller froze, but the game kept going. I had ti manually turn off the Xbox One. I returned the headphones because of these issues. The
audio was terrible and very buggy.
