It's likely that the issue is with the app or the settings within the app rather than the CD itself. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the volume settings in Windows Media Player to ensure they are turned up and not muted.

Check the volume settings on your Xbox to make sure they are also turned up and not muted.

Make sure the audio cable is properly plugged in from your Xbox to your TV or audio system.

Make sure the audio settings on your Xbox are set to output through the correct device.

Check if the CD is dirty or scratched and clean it or try another CD to make sure that the CD is not the problem.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Windows Media Player.

Also note the CD has to be an Audio Cd not a CD of mp3's or other formats.

DTS audio CD's are not easily read by most players. I keep an old DVD player around just for some of my DTS cds.

It's possible that your disc drive may have a problem. To verify that the drive works, try an Xbox 360 game disc (if you have one that is compatible with Xbox One), or an audio CD.

If either of those work, it means your disc drive is fine. Your system will not need repair. Check that the DVD movies are not scratched, damaged, or dirty. Try them in another Xbox or other device, if possible.

If, however, they do not work, it is likely that your disc drive has failed, and your console may need to be repaired.
