XBox One asking me to free up space - 24% HD used

Discus and support XBox One asking me to free up space - 24% HD used in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I'm not sure where to start with this one, I tried for about 2 hours last night installing Madden '15 it would install about 6% of the game then stop...     XBox One asking me to free up space - 24% HD used


    I'm not sure where to start with this one, I tried for about 2 hours last night installing Madden '15 it would install about 6% of the game then stop installation telling me to Free up Hard Drive space. I then would do a hard shut off of the system, turn
    it back on and the same thing would happen, I got tired of it and left it run over night to see if it would finish on its own and it did not.

    Any suggestions on what I should do? It just doens't make sense that it is telling me to free up space with less than 25% of my hard drive used.

    you might need to just clear the persistent storage on the console. Just a thought

    Hi, I have the same issue... Happened to me tonight with cod. I unplugged from the internet (or turn off wifi) restarted my Xbox and it seems to be installing fine now. Hope that works for you.

    Keep in mind the OS takes up 134GB and is calculated into the % used. So you have used ~279GB of your HD and 134GB of it is OS meaning 145GB is games. Since you have 6 games install at an average of ~24-25GB/game and if you have 221GB free you have ~3-4
    games worth of space available. But fret not the external storage option is coming. I, for one, cannot wait.
