Xbox One apps or games won't open unless I rapidly mash A

As it says in the title I have to rapidly mash A to get any kind of response from my Xbox One, otherwise things just won't open. Sometimes it will be fine but then it will just switch and I can't get anything to open. I think the problem may also be affecting
my games as the camera always drags downwards in almost every one of my games. I couldn't see this problem anywhere else on the internet so I posted this just in case anyone on here had a solution.

Can't select anything on dash. Help?

When I try to click anything on the Xbox One dash it won't open, whether it be "my games and apps" "friends" or anything. I press A to open what I want and I get the little animation but nothing opens. It sometimes opens if I rapidly click A but not normally.
Any idea why this is happening?

My games & apps app on my xbox one dashboard won't open. I checked my storage and it says 100% full. last time i checked it was 37% full. When i try to run my apps they won't launch and it says "We had trouble installing or updating this. Try installing
it again" How do open my games & apps app?

No, I tried this multiple times to no avail, in the end I returned the Xbox and exchanged it for a new one
